During college at the University of Notre Dame I was an anthropology major with the intention to go to medical school.  As a senior student, I took an art history class and developed an interest in oil painting.  My fascination grew and I started studying works and techniques from Renaissance through early 20th century painters.

Following graduation I went to medical school and now I am a plastic surgeon in Cincinnati, Ohio. In order to get a break from long hours of studying during medical school I went out on a whim and bought a set of oil paints, canvases, and easels.  I started painting and have continued ever since. My techniques and style have all been self taught.
